POINTS AWARDING SYSTEM

1) The Top 8 Low Net finishers in each flight from the regular monthly OMGC tournaments will receive Golfer Of The Year points as follows:

1^st Place: 14 points 5^th Place: 4 points

2^nd Place: 10 points 6^th Place: 3 points

3^rd Place: 8 points 7^th Place: 2 points

4^th Place: 6 points 8^th Place: 1 point

NOTE: Any ties split points.

2) The Top 8 Low Net finishers from the “OMGC Club Championships” in each flight will receive Golfer Of The Year points as follows:

1^st Place: 28 points 5^th Place: 8 points

2^nd Place: 20 points 6^th Place: 6 points

3^rd Place: 16 points 7^th Place: 4 points

4^th Place: 12 points 8^th Place: 2 points

3) Points will be awarded by Team Events as follows (points awarded to each team member):

1^st Place: 10 points 4^th Place: 4 points

2^nd Place: 8 points 5^th Place: 2 points

3^rd Place: 6 points

4) Closest To The Pin or Long Drive: 2 points

5) HOLE-IN-ONE: 5 points

6) Points are awarded to the Top 10 “Best Improvement Ratio” of the last 12 months as of November SCGA Index Sheet. Improvement Ratios (IR) are calculated by the SCGA as follow:

IR = (Old Index + 12) / (New Index + 12)

Golfer Of The Year points are awarded as follows: 10 points for best IR,

9 points for second best IR, 8 points for third best IR, etc. to 1 point for

the 10^th best IR.

7) The Top 15 Low Net finishers in the year end “Tournament Of Champions” will receive Golfer Of The Year points as follows:

1^st Place: 20 points 9^th Place: 7 points

2^nd Place: 15 points 10^th Place: 6 points

3^rd Place: 13 points 11^th Place: 5 points

4^th Place: 12 points 12^th Place: 4 points

5^th Place: 11 points 13^th Place: 3 points

6^th Place: 10 points 14^th Place: 2 points

7^th Place: 9 points 15^th Place: 1 point

8^th Place: 8 points
